Chew Meng is a certified yoga teacher based in Bangkok. He discovered modern postural yoga in 2018 in Hong Kong while studying at university. The profound practice of asana, coupled with meditation, helped him work through the mind-body complex and inspired him to pursue a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2020.
Raised as a Mahayana Buddhist, Chew Meng’s teaching vision is inspired by the Bodhisattvas — guided by great compassion to support all beings on the path to liberation. He firmly believes that yoga is a way of life beyond the physical practice on the mat, with the ultimate goal of moksha (spiritual liberation).
As a lifelong student and spiritual seeker, he is committed to deepening his understanding of yoga in all its dimensions, from philosophy to asana. As a teacher, he aspires to guide students in exploring their spiritual path through a practice that is both grounded and expansive.
His classes are rooted in vinyasa-based asana and integrate meditation, pranayama, and yogic philosophy to offer a holistic practice. Expect a thoughtful blend of movement, breath, and inner reflection, with teachings from the Bhagavad Gita woven throughout the class as a foundation for living yoga on and off the mat.
